Founded in Montreal in 1984, LaCage started with a simple concept: broadcast live sports on big screens in a restaurant setting, at a time when this was still a novelty. More than forty years later, the brand has grown to over forty locations across Quebec and two restaurants in France, becoming the benchmark for sports brasseries in Canada.

Our story

LaCage was born out of the passion Canadians have for hockey. The first location offered something new: a place to watch the game together, eat well, and feel at home. The formula worked. Through the 1990s and 2000s, the network expanded steadily across Quebec, with Jean Bédard taking over as president and driving the brand's growth. In 2024, LaCage opened its first international location in Bordeaux-Bègles, France, followed by a second French location shortly after. LaCage Kensington marks the brand's arrival in the United Kingdom.

The menu is built for bold appetites. Signature chicken wings, burgers, Neapolitan pizzas baked in Italian gas ovens, loaded fries, brunch and much more.

Every LaCage is designed around the live sports experience. Multiple 4K Ultra HD screens cover every angle of the room, ensuring an unobstructed view from any seat. Football, rugby, tennis, golf, Formula 1, boxing, we show it all.

Cheer.

Fans of every team and every sport are welcome. The bar drives the energy of the space, while the décor draws on sports culture: wood finishes, rustic materials, and references to the games we love. LaCage is where the crowd becomes part of the experience.

LaCage Kensington offers a private dining room for corporate events, group bookings and exclusive evenings. Capacity for groups of ten and above, available morning, afternoon and evening.
